AWARD FOR PERSONAL LICENCE HOLDERS (APLH)

The APLH qualification is awarded by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC)

The APLH qualification is a legal requirement for any person applying for a Personal Alcohol Licence in England and Wales. The APLH course is provided via e-learning online and the qualification is gained by sitting an online, remotely invigilated examination consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions. The pass mark is 28/40.

The course covers the following topics:

  • Licensing authorities

  • Personal and premises licences
  • The licensing objectives

  • Operating schedules

  • Permitted temporary activities

  • Unauthorised licensable activities

  • Police powers and rights of entry

  • Legal and social responsibilities of the personal licence holder

  • Illegal drugs, the effects of alcohol and disorderly conduct

  • Protection of children

PLA
PLA – personal licence application service

Once you have become one of the many thousands of people that gain their PLH qualification through Training SP, there will now need to be an application undertaken to your local authority in order to complete the process of gaining your personal licence. The vast majority of our learners are happy for Training SP to carry out this process for them in order to avoid the pitfalls and complexities of the application procedure. Training SP will:

 

  • Complete the application paperwork for you

  • Endorse your photo ID

  • Pay all necessary application fees and postage

  • Liaise with the council directly throughout the application procedure

  • Once your application is accepted, we will send your personal licence to you by recorded delivery

SCPLH

SCOTTISH AWARD FOR PERSONAL LICENCE HOLDERS (SCPLH) AND SCPLH REFRESHER

The SCPLH and SCPLH Refresher qualifications are awarded by Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC)
 

The SCPLH qualification is a legal requirement for any person applying for a Personal Alcohol Licence in Scotland. The qualification must be refreshed every five years from the date of grant of a Personal Alcohol Licence. The courses are provided via e-learning online and the qualification is gained by sitting an online, remotely invigilated examination consisting of 40 multiple-choice questions. The pass mark is 28/40.
